What is a .BLOB file?
The most common data format on the web.
A .blob file in your Steam folder is ClientRegistry.blob, an internal settings cache the Steam client builds and manages itself. There is nothing to open inside it. If Steam won't start or update, quit Steam, delete ClientRegistry.blob, and relaunch - Steam rebuilds it automatically. Your games and account are not affected.
