What is a .MSDVD file?
The most common data format on the web.
An MSDVD file is a project file created by Windows DVD Maker, a DVD authoring tool that shipped with Windows Vista and Windows 7. It stores the DVD layout in XML but contains no video, just paths to your source files. Windows DVD Maker was removed in Windows 8 and does not run on Windows 10 or 11. To recover your content, open the file in Notepad to find the referenced video paths, then re-author the DVD in a current tool such as DVDStyler (free).
